Edward Mace was named President and CEO of Silverwest in 2014. In 2013, Ed co-founded Silverwest Hotel Partners, LLC (“SWHP”), a privately owned hotel operating and development company. SWHP was formed to establish and sponsor investment partnerships aiming to develop, own and operate a successful portfolio of hotel investments for the benefit of SWHP’s investment partners. In 2006, Ed formed Mace Pacific Holding Company, LLC (“Mace Pacific”), working closely with investors in the acquisition and repositioning of branded and independent and luxury hotels and resorts. Prior to Mace Pacific, Ed had a successful career with some of the most iconic hotel brands in the industry.
From 2001 to 2006, Ed was President of RockResorts, the legendary hotel brand that grew out of a series of resorts originally developed by Laurance Rockefeller. Vail Resorts (NYSE:MTN) acquired RockResorts in 2001 and immediately appointed Ed to develop and operate the owned and managed hotels within the luxury brand as well as to lead the growth of the management company. He was also President of Vail Resorts Lodging Company, responsible for the portfolio of independent hotels, condominium rental programs, private clubs and the Grand Teton Lodge Company (operating hotels and facilities under agreement with the U.S. National Park Service).
Prior to Vail Resorts, Ed was President and CEO of Fairmont Hotels. After overseeing nearly $300 million in renovations to some of the brand’s most iconic hotels including The Plaza in New York and The Fairmont in San Francisco, Ed led a merger with Canadian Pacific Hotels (CP) to form the largest luxury hotel company in North America. Following the merger, he was appointed President of Fairmont’s U.S/Mexico Division. Ed’s career at Fairmont began in 1996 as EVP before becoming COO and later appointed CEO. In 2000, he was named Vice Chairman of the combined company and led the company’s global growth strategy and development.
Charles Peck was named President and COO of Silverwest in 2014. In 2013 Charlie co-founded Silverwest Hotel Partners, LLC (“SWHP”), a privately owned hotel operating and development company. SWHP was formed to establish and sponsor investment partnerships aiming to develop, own and operate a successful portfolio of hotel investments for the benefit of SWHP’s investment partners. SWHP is one of the ownership entities of Silverwest.
In 2012, Charlie formed CSP Resource, LLC (“CSP Resource”). CSP Resource is a private hospitality real estate investment and advisory firm based in Greenwood Village, CO.
From 1997-2012, Charlie was President & COO of Destination Hotels & Resorts (“DH&R”), the Denver-based hospitality management arm of Lowe Hospitality Group, the fourth-largest U.S. independent hotel operator. As President & COO, Charlie was responsible for the acquisition and development of the 45-property national portfolio. Charlie first joined DH&R in 1993 as Managing Director of Sunriver Resort Limited Partnership in Sunriver, OR.
Prior to DH&R, Charlie was Director, Executive Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer of Cushman Realty Corporation, a diversified national real estate company based in Los Angeles, CA. He was also President of Cushman Investment and Development Corporation. Previously, as Chief Financial Officer of Disney Imagineering, Peck assisted in the planning of large-scale development activities for The Walt Disney Company.
Jared Flagg joined the Silverwest team in 2014 bringing over 15 years of experience in the hospitality investment industry and currently serves as Managing Director of Asset Management for Silverwest Hotels.
Jared's full-faceted career spans hotel, resort, and residential community development, financing, and investment management including iconic locations like Terranea Resort and Resort at Squaw Creek in California, Suncadia Resort in Washington, Wild Dunes in South Carolina, and Waikoloa Beach Marriott in Hawaii.
Jared’s experience and skillset encompasses all key hotel investment disciplines including financial underwriting, debt/equity capital raising, accounting/financial reporting, project development, asset management, budgeting/strategic planning, and performance analytics. Jared serves as an advisor for Marriott’s Element brand, is a member of the Hotel Asset Managers Association, and has formed strong partnerships with the hospitality industry’s leading vendors and service providers.
Jared graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in Mathematics/Economics.
Patrick Mace joined Silverwest in 2014 as Managing Director, Acquisition & Development. Patrick is responsible for the company’s deal sourcing, underwriting, transactions, negotiations and project development.
Prior to Silverwest, Patrick was a principal of Sabbia Advisors. Working in an advisory capacity, his consulting engagements included transaction due diligence, development feasibility, asset management and operational planning of an international mixed-use resort. Prior to Sabbia Advisors, Patrick was a Vice President with the Lehman Estate. Managing the recovery value of 20+ investment positions including 5,000+ hotel keys within the commercial real estate platform, his responsibilities included workouts, restructurings, foreclosures/deed-in-lieu and dispositions of full service urban hotels and luxury resorts, a boutique lifestyle portfolio and various branded select service assets. Patrick began his tenure at the Lehman Estate as a consultant with Alvarez & Marsalin 2010 as a member of the Hospitality and Leisure Advisory Services Group.
Patrick received a Masters in Business Administration from The Johnson School at Cornell University. He also received his undergraduate degree from Cornell at the School of Hotel Administration.
David Thorpe joined Silverwest in 2016. Dave is responsible for overseeing Silverwest’s new developments and renovation projects at the company’s various hotel properties.
Prior to joining Silverwest, Dave most recently served as vice president of Shaw Construction in Denver. His career also includes positions as Development Executive overseeing a large urban mixed-use project in Denver, and Vice President of Development for Vail Resorts Development Company. At Vail Resorts, Dave oversaw the redevelopment of Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club and worked on the development of The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a 500,000-square-foot mixed-use development and luxury hotel. He also provided technical construction support services to RockResorts for renovations and hotel capital expenditure projects.
Dave received a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Paul Mountain joined Silverwest in 2015. In his role as Vice President, Paul is involved with Silverwest’s acquisitions, developments, and asset management, and his responsibilities span the investment cycle from initial underwriting through disposition.
Prior to Silverwest, Paul worked with Copper Mountain Resort as a Financial Analyst. His primary responsibilities included capital project management, budgeting, and financial reporting. Paul received his MBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and his BS in Finance from the University of Tennessee.
Sarah Modjeski joined Silverwest in 2019 as the Director of Revenue and Marketing. In her role, she is responsible for the strategic pricing, revenue optimization, and marketing initiatives for Silverwest’s portfolio of hotels across all segments and distribution channels with primary focus on the limited service hotels managed by Silverwest.
Sarah is an AHLEI Certified Hotel Revenue Manager with 10 years of hospitality sales and revenue experience across multiple brands including Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt. Prior to her role at Silverwest, Sarah served in roles as Area Director of Revenue Management overseeing two Denver full-service hotels and a Dual Director of Sales and Marketing specializing in Corporate Individual Travel.
Sarah graduated from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and has a certificate in Hotel Revenue Management through Cornell University School of Hotel Administration’s online learning platform.
Lucy Sapron joined Silverwest in April of 2015 and serves as Office Manager for the company and its affiliates. Her role encompasses administrative and organizational support, client and vendor communication and brand and lender documentation and compliance.Lucy’s prior experience includes 15 years of various positions in the banking industry with the last 11 years serving as Assistant Vice President of Commercial/Construction Loan Administration. As a Commercial Loan Administrator, Lucy had the opportunity to learn many aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Lucy is a native of Estonia, where she attended Tallinn Technical University and completed coursework in Data Processing in Economics.
Cora Storms joined Silverwest in 2014 and is currently the Controller. She manages the accounting and financial reporting for the Silverwest hospitality investment portfolio. Cora is currently part of Platform Ventures and has served in roles with affiliates since 2012 performing the accounting for various real estate investment entities, loan pools and mixed-use projects.
Prior to joining Platform, Cora was a Senior Associate at PwC working on audit teams for multiple financial services clients including mutual funds and hedge funds. Cora received her Master of Science of Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Finance/Accounting from Rockhurst University.
Hillary Ross joined Silverwest in 2015. In her role of Senior Accountant, Hillary works directly with the Silverwest owned and managed limited service hotels on a day-to-day basis. As well as being a member of the Silverwest team, Hillary is also part of Platform Ventures LLC (“Platform”). In her capacity at Platform, Hillary is involved in the accounting for various real estate investment entities.
Prior to joining Silverwest, Hillary worked for a CPA firm providing the tax return and accounting services for small businesses. Hillary attended University of Kansas where she received her Bachelor of Science, Accounting degree.
Taylor Umscheid joined Silverwest Hotels in 2018 as a Senior Accountant. Taylor performs the ownership accounting and financial reporting for Silverwest’s hotel investments and operational accounting for Silverwest’s managed limited service hotels.
Prior to joining Silverwest, Taylor worked as an experienced assurance associate at PwC. Taylor graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
